"Groove, taste and tone"
As a teacher, I try my utmost to offer lessons that go beyond the ordinary. I draw on experiences and specific tools I’ve gained through my work in the music industry internationally.
In my work as a professional musician, I’ve been privileged to collaborate with some fantastic musicians and artists such as:
US: Omar Hakim (Michael Jackson, Sting), John Legend, Larry Klein (Bob Dylan, Norah Jones), Gil Smith (Drake, Lady Gaga), Jacques Schwarz-Bart (D’Angelo, Roy Hargrove), Bobby Stanton (James Taylor, The Temptations), Kevin Barry (Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne), Grace Kinstler (American Idol-finalist) etc.
DK: Zindy Laursen, Wafande, Klubien & Dans’orkestret, Fyr Og Flamme, L.I.G.A, PATINA, Back to Back, Szhirley, Anna David, Sko/Torp, Birthe Kjær, Christian Brøns, Yepha, Rasmus Bjerg, Chief 1, SDJ Symfoniorkester, DR1 & TV2 TV-shows etc.
Education
Prepared and focused
I graduated from Berklee College of Music in the USA with the academic distinction summa cum laude, earning an “A” in 70 out of 74 courses and a “B” in the remaining four.
I received a full tuition scholarship to Berklee, valued at approximately $250,000, after being nominated for an International Presidential Scholarship as one of four candidates worldwide, out of 6,000 applicants.
Before attending Berklee, I studied in the MGK program at Sankt Annæ Gymnasium. In addition to being accepted at Berklee, I was also offered admission to both the Jazz Institute Berlin and the Danish National Academy of Music in Odense. This has given me a broad understanding of the admission requirements for various music programs, both in Denmark and internationally.
